An Eerie Halloween Tale

It all started late one night when I was playing with the Shaving Cream technique. My plan was to create a cool Halloween card with this as a background. My first attempt did not turn out too good, I muddied the colors. There was this little Devil sitting on my shoulder telling me not to give up. The Angel, sitting on my other shoulder, kept insisting on calling it a night. Of course it was even later - in the wee hours of night - and we all know what can happen. The Darkness took over and I played some more!

The following morning I was looking over my eerie creations and noticed some weird aberrations. I had a Monster spewing something and an Alien's face in my shaving cream! See these? Tell me what you see -

I had another sheet that I could not bear to cut up - there were so many images jumping out! It now resides with an artist friend who is looking forward to creating some wild things with it.

Well tonight the Devil visited me again ... Remember the Halloween card you wanted to make? Of course I do but we all know what happened then. I thought about it some more and then it hit me - I can still make a card using this technique! Hmmm ... I need a cauldron and a witch. I had neither so I was going to call it a night.

But the Devil egged me on. I got out my trusty Ornament punch and started playing around. Hmmm ... use the Word Window punch and you can have a rudimentary cauldron. Witches don't care - they are using it to boil their brew!

Now I need something boiling out of this cauldron to make it a bit realistic. The Angel said – Cut the Demon up and you will have your brew. So I did! Gotta love those Angels – they are always trying to exorcise the Demons. LOL. So I have this rudimentary cauldron with an awesome brew spewing from it. I love it! Now I need a Witch. What I have no Witch? Egads this cannot be!!!

I dig through my trusty Stampin’ Up sets and the mind starts reeling again. If I use this stamp from this set and this one from that set – the fever has really set in. Okay this is just too cool! Eureka I’ve got it!!! Here is my Halloween card –

And the inside -

Now you are probably thinking - What brew is she drinking? Nothing really, other than good English tea. Thank you for taking this wandering walk with me. The Devil has been exorcised and I can finally rest with peace.

Hooray! It pays to be a subscriber to your blog! I had sent you a private email because your post to LNS didn't have the photos attached, but here they are!

What a fun post! You definately came up with some very imaginative ideas!! And I love the story, too.
