Candles, Candles, Candles Everywhere

I have been quite busy getting items ready for Craft Fairs I am doing this year - 6 in total! What was I thinking? LOL I'll be sharing the items made as time permits. That being said - here's my first one.

Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla are excellent colors for Victorian times. Living in an area were there are many homes of these designs and decorations for the holiday season are coordinated, I thought these two would be perfect.

The Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White candle has a Clear Rhinestone brad inserted in the center.

The Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla candle has a Very Vanilla half-back pearl attached with mini glue dots. Both candles were made using the Medallion stamp in the 2009-2010 idea book and catalog for Stampin' Up!

I wanted to make a couple of different ones as well.

This one is definitely geared towards the Holiday Season - who doesn't love Santa and his reindeer? The stamp used for this candle comes from the Wandering Words set in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

This on
e is perfect for a friend. I love how the bird came out! The bird and saying are from the Friends 24-7 set located in the 2009-2010 idea book and catalog from Stampin' Up!

These are very easy to make. Ink up your stamp and stamp o
n tissue paper. For the multi-colored ones, I inked the stamp with my markers. Trim the tissue paper and lay on your candle. Taking a piece of wax paper, cover the entire image and heat with your heat gun. Be careful not to burn the image or your fingers! You can tell when the image has taken to the candle - it is as obvious as when you are embossing. Let the candle cool for a minute and then unwrap the wax paper. That's it!

If you see an area that you missed, cut another piece of wax paper and lay over it. Repeat the above steps only on the area needing repair.

Well I am off to make gift boxes for these gems. Hope you enjoyed seeing these. Give this technique a try - I know you'll love it. Please do share your artwork - I love seeing it all.
