I hope everyone had a safe and fun evening last night. New Year's Eve in Newport is one big party - start at one location and continue down the road to another and another. I tend to stay home and ring in the New Year peacefully and quietly. Last night I decided to delve into the world of Punch Art! My hats off to all of you talented people who do this. I can assuredly say I was in over my head and deeply challenged. Will I try it again? Probably not ... I know my limitations. LOL Without shame, I will readily admit if I want punch art in something I am working on, I will certainly case one from those that are out there. Of course credit will be given for the original artist.
Without further ado, here's my New Year's Baby -
He is not mounted on anything. The background is actually my desk pad. I went into Adobe and paint brushed the white stars around him. Punches used are -1. Ornament Punch #116794 $15.95 (head)
2. Wide Oval Punch #112082 $15.95 (body and diaper)
3. Large Oval Punch #107305 $15.95 (arms and hat brim)
4. Small Oval Punch #107304 $15.95 (feet)
5. 1-1/4" Square Punch #104400 $15.95 (hat and trim)
6. Modern Label Punch #116630 $15.95 (banner)
I drew in the eyes, mouth, fingers and toes using Basic Black and Blush Blossom markers. Everything is adhered with the Anywhere Glue Stick.
Please take a moment to visit the Stampin' Up News page on my blog. This is where I post all of the HOT news for Stampin' Up, catalogs, and specials (both Stampin' Up and my exclusive ones). There are some wonderful treats to check out for the New Year.
Looking forward to a creative 2010 with you -
